A-LIST Qatar World Cup could have Abba and Lady Gaga as performers while ‘6,000 fans will be able to loosen up on party boats’

LADY GAGA and Abba could perform at next year's controversial Qatar World Cup.

Alongside the possibility of seeing A-list musicians, fans will also be able to explore a new port that will be home to two cruise ships which will be able to house around 6,000 football fans.

According to The Times, Qatar want to greet fans from across the world 'western-style'.

And that includes securing big musical acts such as Lady Gaga, Abba, Andrea Bocelli and Aerosmith.

The musical A-listers are all signed by Universal, who have a partnership with Fifa.

And footy fans could find themselves housed in two party boats in a newly constructed port.

However, football fans will have to be careful.

According to Qatari law, it is an offence to be drunk in public, or to drink in public places.

The drinking age in the country is 21, and The Times' report says the laws are unlikely to change for the tournament.

It is best advised for football fans to stay within the designated zones to try and avoid any complications.

Next year's World Cup will be unlike any other.

It will be the first World Cup held in the winter, and the biggest distance between stadiums is just 45 miles.

Football fans could watch three World Cup matches a day, with the tournament squeezed into a 28 day window.
